Time sure does fly when you're having fun and we are doing just that! Life with 2 boys is so rewarding! It is a lot of work but I wouldn't change it for the world. Our little family of 4 is having a blast and we are loving every second. Preston turned 4 months and we sure are so proud of our little guy. He has rolled over twice (once at home and once at his 4 month dr. appt) so far and even said his first word. Yes, you read that right. Our little four monther said...HIS FIRST WORD!! Baker's first word didn't come around until 6/7 months and that was DaDa. Preston was in mid cry as usual waiting on his bottle when all of a sudden out came MAMA--clear...as...day! Of course Gordie was like OMG he said mama and I was in the kitchen so I came running in and scooped him up! I think it was Preston's way of telling me to hurry up with his bottle. :)
- Wearing 3 month clothes. He can still squeeze into some larger 0-3 month but for the most part he's wearing 3 and 3-6 month clothes
- He's 15 lbs and 27 inches long
- Size 2 Target diapers
- Drinking 5-5.5 oz breastmilk every 3 hours
- Had his first taste of multigrain cereal on 3/30/13. He hated it as much as Baker did the first time. [he's doing better with it every time we feed it to him]
- Said his first word - MaMa (3/23/13)
- He was sleeping through the night seamlessly but now has reverted to 2am and/or 4am wake ups.
- Baker is such a great big brother and always wants to help out with Preston no matter what whether its feeding him, changing him, dressing him, etc. He is so proud of his little brother and doesn't hesitate to tell others about him.
- His pediatrician is excited with his verbal skills and what he proved he can do at this point so we are so thankful. She thinks he'll be an early talker and I'm just wondering how much of that was due to getting his frenulum clipped. Makes me wish I looked into it more back when Baker was an infant. It probably was the reason he couldn't ever latch well as an infant. Baker is mr. chatterbox now though so at least he doesn't seem held back too much from it. The Dr. said his probably stretched as he got older.
- He still has a love/hate relationship with tummy time and the bumbo seat. He enjoys it and then gets tired of it pretty quickly
- He is constantly smiling. He's Mr. Smiley at school. He responds to "Hi Handsome and Hey Good Looking!" ha. yes, I think he knows he's a little stud! :)
- He just started taking a paci. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I was so into him wanting one when he was a newborn and he didn't want anything to do with it. I then thought ok well that's great. We won't have to worry about weaning him off of one down the road. All that was fine until teething came into play now he will most of the time take it except when he's super tired. We have this cute little lamb thing it hooks onto and Preston absolutely loves to hold onto it tightly while he sucks on the paci.
