35.5 Week Appt

We went to the doctor yesterday morning (5 Nov) for our 2 week follow up. We had to wait quite a while as our doctor had an emergency c-section right before our appointment. This was the first time we have ever had a morning appointment as we usually have late afternoon/early evening ones so I don't have to miss work. However, they only had early appointments yesterday and it was kind of nice to sleep in a little too! :)

I gained 1 lb since my last appointment so that brings me to 31 lbs gained thus far and the baby is now estimated at 5.5 lbs so he gained 1/2 lb since our last visit. The ultrasound showed that he is still in the head down position with his chin tucked in. Our dr. said that is the perfect position for him to be in as the chin being down also helps for him to come out easier. I just hope he stays that way and doesn't decide to move! He has been in this position for so long already. Gordie just says it is because I am so organized and have everything set to the tee that our baby is following my lead! :) I go back to the dr. every week now as he technically can come any day. Our next appointment is Thursday, 12 Nov. She went over some hospital tips and told us whenever my water breaks to head to the hospital. I just hope I can last 2 more weeks to make it through training my replacement at work. She is a trooper and I think will handle everything just fine while I am gone. I am getting a little anxious and nervous but most of all we are really excited too!

I have a breastfeeding class to attend at the hospital this coming Tuesday so we'll see what we can learn! :)
