| Hello 25 Weeks! |

| ~26 Weeks~ We are officially less than 100 days from meeting our baby boy!! |
Today I had my 26 week appointment which I met with the Dr. and did my glucose test. I got to drink the orange syrup drink that I heard so much about and it honestly wasn't that bad or as bad as I was expecting. It definitely wasn't as easy as drinking 8 oz of soda and eating a candy bar of my choice but I assume there are worse things to drink than that. I won't find out the results until tomorrow or possibly Monday so keep us in your prayers!
Baker went with me this morning to my appointment. This week school started back and traffic was ridiculous this morning. We left in PLENTY of time to make it to his school and then my appointment by 8AM; however, traffic got in the way because we had to leave earlier than usual so I soon realized I would be taking a companion with me when he mentioned on the way there that he had to go poo poo. Yes, those dreaded words no mom wants to hear when you are in the car going to or fro somewhere...There was NO bathroom in sight and the only remedy I had to fix the solution was to pull over and have him go on his potty. On top of the stress of being in traffic and running behind I had to take a deep breath and realize that it just wasn't going to be the way I had planned and we were onto plan B. I quickly made a detour and swung into a dr. office parking lot. I crammed my big preggo self in the backseat and put the potty (thank GOODNESS I keep it in my truck) on the otherside of the backseat. I got Baker out of his carseat and somehow managed to find room to shimmy his shorts and BIG BOY underpants off so he could hopefully go "poo poo". He goofed off once he first sat down as he usually does. At this point in time my eye is on the clock and time is just ticking away. He's acting silly and making me think that maybe he just doesn't have to go....then the bottom fell out and he really went #2. I then thought to myself...what the heck am I supposed to do with it now?? I got him cleaned up, got our hands sanitized, and put him back in his carseat in record time and just pulled the potty lid over it and went on our way to my appointment. Of course my dr. office was running behind....very behind. My appointment lasted 2 hours. Not necessarily the best appointment to take him to but I had no choice. He actually did VERY well and I was so proud of him. All the nurses commented on how well behaved he was which made me so proud. We didn't have one meltdown or anything. I wasn't prepared and didn't have any toys or anything so he watched a few youtube episodes of some shows he enjoys while we waited and luckily they had a stash of kids books for him to look at. He particularly liked the Barney book as you'll see in the pictures below. We finally left the appointment 2 hours later and walked out to the car. I opened the door and immediately Baker said "Oh no Mommy, what's that smell?" It hit us like a brick wall. Yes that was the smell of poo that had "marinated" in the heat of my car for 2 hours. The smell was bad...very bad. I rolled the windows down and cranked up the air and then pondered the entire way to his school (.5 mile) how I was going to handle cleaning it up. I got to work and luckily we have several bathrooms and one just happens to be not used much by our side door. I hadn't had anything to eat all morning so by this time I am feeling pretty faint and having to clean a toddler potty full of poo was not what I'd say is appetizing. I don't get sick from stuff like that but I was very close to feeling like vomiting while I got that taken care of. The whole situation was at the moment very hectic but looking back on it VERY funny. :) I'm sure we'll look back on these silly moments years from now and smile.
