Happy 10 Months!

We are 2 months shy of Preston turning 1 year old.  Can that really be possible?!?! I am still breastfeeding.  Can that really be possible?!?! LOL I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd ever make it this far...ever.  I mean 10 months?? I passed the 3/4 month mark when I stopped before with Baker and kept going.  When I hit the 6 month mark I seriously contemplated stopping. Then the months just went on and I rolled with it.  Here I am with 2 months to go and figure I made it this far so why stop now? We've only had to supplement with formula when I went out of town for work for 2.5 days in September and a few other bottles in between when my supply would drop.  I am really proud of myself and consider this a huge accomplishment.  Breastfeeding/Pumping is a full time job in itself.  In addition to working my regular job, pumping, being a wife, and a mom. Whew! I think I'm in need of some pampering after he transitions to cows milk! I probably won't know what to do with all my "free" time.

Preston is so mobile, it amazes me.  Probably because Baker was not even close to doing the things he is at this stage so I am literally being given a run for my money trying to keep up with these 2. Preston is cruising furniture, trying to stand on his own, pulling up with ease like he's been doing it his entire life, and clearing a room from one side to the other in 2 seconds flat. You have to watch him carefully because he is so quick. Turn your head for just a second and that sneaky boy is most likely getting into something he shouldn't.  Preston is definitely the mischievous child. :)

We are celebrating his second week as a 10 month old with a nasty ear infection (left). He's got this nasty dry/wet cough that keeps him from getting comfortable and we are on a round of Omnicef (the red poop medicine) to clear it up.  I recall it working wonders for B so hopefully it will for P too. The ear infection was a nice impromptu reason to stay home from work and love on my sweet boy a little more!!

P is doing so well with table food.  We are so proud.  Cookies, puffs, cut up fruit, etc.

• You're drinking 6 oz breastmilk every 4 hours
• You still love my homemade baby food.  You hate lima beans.  We are slowly introducing more and more table food.
• You LOVE your bottle but also enjoy drinking from your Nuk sippy cup
• You're into...EVERYTHING! You're pulling up, cruising, standing, walking with assistance, smiling, laughing, babbling. 
• You LOVE to pull hair. Mine, Baker's, your teachers, anyone that holds you that has strands within your reach.
• You're wearing anything from 6-12 month clothing
• You carry your blue and brown blankie with you everywhere you go
• You don't mind wearing shoes
• You'd prefer to sleep on your side with blankie in tow of course
• You're napping schedule has been reduced to one nap a day thanks to your new room at school. 
• You are cranky in the evenings
• You enjoy bathtime and being in the water
• You still hate the grass and will crawl to the edge of the blanket and decide to go back to the middle because grass is on the other side of the blanket
