Merry Christmas 2013 and Happy New Years 2014

The holidays left us incredibly busy [sorry for the lack of posts] but we LOVED all the family time we got in over the month of December.  I'll let the pictures do the talking...from Christmas decorating, baking, celebrations, my birthday, new years, and starting off the new year with some extremely cold temperatures making for school delays in the morning.  Let's bring on 2014! We are so excited to see what is in store for our family! Most importantly we cannot wait to welcome our new nephew in April!!  [I'll do another post on that]
Our little tree - we love its "charlie brown" style!
Preston started using his walker back in November and he loves it

So curious

SCOOTER! His birthday present being put to good use

Who doesn't love a leaf pile?

We cleaned up our porch and it looks AWESOME because you know whooooo went...

On his hipline!

Gordie got stuff from Lowes together to make a hipline for Miller to get more exercise.  So far he has been houdini and gotten off the hipline a few times.  Thankfully he hasn't broken anything on it but the lever just got open that attaches to the harness somehow.

We cheered on our Gamecocks to a win during the Carolina Clemson game

Preston still loves to eat anything and mostly anything.  He really has taken a liking to his cup
Check out that faee

Sweet boy at dinner

Silly boys hanging out one December evening

Preston watched those elves in his class practice pushing boxes around for the program so I'm really thinking thats where he gets the desire to push our little ottoman around

He loves to push it all over the house
He even manipulates and maneuvers it around obstacles like furniture
Preston now likes to hold spoons while he eats and attempts to use them to feed himself

But we usually just end up with food all over the floor

"that's right mama"

His birthday present that he adores.  As of mid December he can get on and off of it himself hiking his leg up.  He LOVES to ride it esp when you press his ear for music.

sweetheart
He wants everything his brother gets--trying his hat on for size.  In December, Preston started squealing when things didn't go the way he wanted, if he doesn't get something you gave Baker, or if Baker is trying to take a toy from him.  He is relentless and will make sure he gets what he wants. Let's just call him Mr. Independent.

Sunday Brunch @ Jersey Mikes [Boys in cartigans--ahhhh so cute!]

We taught sunday school at church during December.  Here was our craft.  Didn't turn out so cute of the ones we did there. Those 4-5 year olds are a little crazy!!! Didn't help Gordie had to leave to practice with the choir.  Note to self, only do coloring activities next time you plan to do sunday school solo.

Yep he adores it

I had off nearly 2 weeks over Christmas.  It was joyous.  I kept the boys home and pretended I was a SAHM [stay at home mom] and enjoyed every minute.  It was definitely hard work keeping up with a 4 and 1 year old for sure.  Having them on such different levels made for life in the fast lane!  Our time together was wonderful despite being worn out!

enjoying his new cup

Having fun with their new loofas from Santa

Bless it. I love them so much.  Bath buddies

Jammie Family 2013 Christmas Picture

Fun times outside playing

Mama's 31st Birthday @ Olive Garden

The other side of my birthday dinner table.  LOVE them.

We stopped for dessert.  Baker picked it and said we had to have this for my birthday.  Strawberry ice cream with sprinkles and gummy bears.

Such a big boy -- he's addicted to wearing his raccoon hat.

How is Preston this old already? 13 months...

This picture is of Baker sleeping in our bed after falling out of his on Sunday, January 5.  We heard a thud and prayed he wasn't injured.  Thankfully he only bit his cheek.  I saw blood and cringed.  I made Gordie assess the "damage"  He slept with us the rest of the night and was the ONLY one of us 3 that got ANY sleep.

Little did we know this smile and sweet child is what kept me up until 230AM that night.  Who would have thought?

His "cheese" face.  Love those little teeth!

His new "face" where he squints his eyes at you.

Amazing sunset last night coming home from work.  Baker told me that God colored that sky for us.  It was so magical and oh so beautiful.

Baker's 100 Days of School Project.  Theme - We're growing... just like the flowers on his poster!

Breakfast time in our jammies

Despite the frigid temps we have had at night (10 and 18) we have thoroughly enjoyed our delayed mornings since the daycare hasn't been opening until 9.  I went to work at 10 and 930 these days and really enjoyed the extra time spent at home with them.  These babies are our everything!
