I never win anything...ever. But my luck recently changed when I won tickets at work to the Darius Rucker concert at the Colonial Life Arena!
I kept it a secret for Gordie. I just told him we'd be doing something FUN just the two of us on Friday. We rarely get out and do something fun like this...a concert...just the two of us. Gordie's parents came over and watched the boys and we had a BLAST. He had 2 openers that were absolutely awesome. I'm a country music buff but these two bands were great--David Nail and Eli Young Band.
We really enjoyed Darius singing along with him all his songs old and new. He even sang his Hootie songs and gave history on where he wrote them in Columbia. His sweet little family even came on stage. I used to go to a lot of concerts back in the day during high school and college but this was OUR first concert together just me and Gordie. It was very special and it didn't break the bank because it was FREE!
David Nail was the first band and there weren't too many people there early but we really enjoyed his music.
