SOCCER!!!

This is such an exciting time for us.  We've always looked forward to every single milestone of Baker's from sitting, crawling, walking, talking, etc. but there is something oh so special about the first sport your little boy plays and Baker chose soccer.  He was so pumped back at Christmas time to get a soccer ball from Nana & Poppy. He loved kicking it in the backyard into the makeshift goal that Gordie put up for him.  So when we signed him up for Spring Soccer we knew getting the rest of his soccer gear would be a must!  We picked up some cleats, socks, and shin guards and he was set for his first practice on February 27th.  He loved it so much he kept asking if it was soccer day or when is my next soccer day?  It was fun watching him warm up with his little team and do practice drills to prep for understanding how to play.  He practices every Monday and Thursday at 530PM at the fields right next to our house and his games are on Sundays.  We've only had one practice so far and he cannot wait for the next one! This week the weather has canceled practice but we'll be back on track for a soccer update next Monday 3/10!

It was pretty cold out so keeping him warm was a challenge.  He never wants to keep his hat on.  

But wouldn't you know he didn't protest when I put Baker's hat on him.  :)
Preston wanted so bad to get out and play. He kept saying "Ball!" "Ball!"
