Baker and I hung out at the house all morning and then I took him to get his haircut. This was his second haircut and I have to say he did really good! The fat lip did appear when she put the cape around him but once I told him it was his magical cape and she gave him a lollipop then he was all smiles.
We met up with Gordie for a delicious birthday lunch at Tokyo Grill in West Columbia. Kaiya (the sweetest and only little girl in Baker's class at daycare) was there with her mom and grandparents. We really saw just how outgoing Baker is. He kept turning around to look at them and kept saying "Mommy! There's Kaiya!! or Hey Kaiya!" It was really cute!
Baker and I then went out to Harbison to meet my mom at Sam's and then to look around at the mall. Neither of us bought anything which is unusual but there just wasn't anything that sparked my interest! However, the highlight of the mall was the carousel ride. Baker's eyes lit up the entire ride and he was smiling from ear to ear and had fun squealing at Nana as we rode round n round. My mom got a really neat picture below which captures both of us enjoying the moment.
Overall, it was a great birthday and I wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way than with family. I love you guys!
