His favorite sayings these days are...
1. "Let's see...."
2. "Because I said so!"
3. "Mommy, I'm talking to you. Are you listening?"
4. "Mommy, I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to Baby Preston" "Isn't that right Baby Preston?"
5. "Look Daddy, a chip truck and a drink truck!" (there are Pepsi and Frito Lay warehouses on the way to Baker's school and he loves to point them out)
6. "OOO look a school bus!"
7. "I don't like buttons, mommy new shirt please"
8. "It's CUTE!"
9. Baker - "Mommy, I got Baby Preston to stop crying." Me - "Oh really? How'd you do that?" Baker - "I gave him his blankie, hat, and paci. See?"
10. One he says a lot "Good Job, very good job!" In reference to you doing something he liked.
- He can count up to 20 and sometimes 30 if he really wants to.
- He can count all 10 fingers
- He recognizes letters on a page and will say them out loud and if it is a word he is familiar with (i.e. his name) he will spell the letters out and say BAKER!
- He loves to sing songs and any songs will do.
- He plays in his bed after we put him down every night. It is funny to listen to him talking to himself and his babies as he prepares for night time. Sometimes he tells them to be quiet and other times he uses his seahorse as a flashlight to "read" a night time story to them.
- He's constantly talking about his friends and teachers at school. I am just SO happy with the school he is going to. They do so many arts and crafts projects and that is right up Baker's alley. He just loves to be creative. It also warms my heart to hear him sing hymns and songs like Jesus Loves Me. I love the fact they go to chapel every Wednesday and the Pastor is very involved in the school and their development.
- Baker loves to perform. He pretends anything is a microphone and while at times he pretends to be shy he will belt a song out at the top of his lungs if he doesn't think he's being watched. He especially likes to sing "I'm going to Lasso Santa Claus" and "Is Zat You Santa Claus" which are two songs from his recent school Christmas program on 12/7.
