On Friday, I noticed Preston's right eye started getting goopy with yellow crusties. Here I was panicking thinking he had an eye infection from lovely germs spread by his big brother. I did what we do for eye infections when your eye is crusted shut and used warm compresses to clear his eye and watched it the rest of the day. I decided to call Sandhills on this morning and because he was only 2 weeks old, they wanted to see him just to be on the safe side. I researched online a little bit and felt it could be a clogged tear duct but you can't be too safe, right?
We got an appt for 11AM and the verdict was a clogged tear duct so my suspicions were true! Warm compresses and gentle massages by the corner of his eyes were in order! She said it might come and go for a little while but that it eventually will go away. Whew, crisis averted. :)
