Preston's First Day at Daycare

First Day Face
"Where are we going Mommy?"
The day finally came that Preston would embark on his first day at PPCDC.  Baker was thrilled that Preston would be at "his" school and only just 2 hallways away from his classroom.  He kept talking the entire way to school about how Preston would have so much fun on the buggy rides around the halls, etc.  I'm not sure what his fascination with the baby buggy carts are?  I guess they look like fun?  I told him it would be a little bit until he got to ride in the baby buggy and Baker was confused as to why he wouldn't get to ride today.  I explained to him that he had to be a little older/bigger before he could ride in the buggy and he said "well, that's not fair". What a smart big brother we have!

Preston did great this morning when I dropped him off and so did I! No tears were shed--I do believe it helps that I really trust them with my children and that this is my second child that I didn't have those first timer tears.  However, I was definitely comforted when the Director called me midday to let me know he was doing fabulous -- eating his bottles, etc. That put a smile on my face and was music to my ears!

Now I can't wait to go pick up my little nuggets -- come on 5PM!

**Another BIG THANK YOU to my mom and dad for watching Preston last week.  I didn't realize it until today that it made the transition to work much easier slowly working back into a routine versus jumping in feet first all at once.
