This week was Preston's first week at daycare and he did great! He's such a happy baby especially in the mornings so I had fun taking a before school picture everyday. He hasn't cried when I left him in the morning but he seems to cry in the afternoon when I pick him up. Makes me think he doesn't want to leave! They are taking great care of him and he's napping and eating wonderfully when he's there! Dropping them off and picking them up are my favorite times of the day!
He's definitely a "go with the flow" baby and I am happy to say we have our morning routine down pat. I know eventually it will change when he becomes more mobile but for now it works great. Gordie and I get up at 530AM. I pump while Preston's bottle warms. Preston stirs around 545AM and we feed him at 6AM and then he cuddles with me for a little bit in bed. He goes back to sleep in his pack n play around 615AM and then I start my routine to get myself ready for work, make my smoothie, get my lunch together, prepare his bottles, make the bed, gather my pump and start lining our 6 bags at the door in preparation for leaving the house. In the midst of doing that I wake Baker up around 7:15AM so he can potty, get dressed, and eat breakfast. Around 745AM I wake Preston up and get him dressed for the day. At this point, Preston usually gives me the biggest smiles of the day. I then get him in his carseat and start loading the car, babies, and myself and we are out the door if I am lucky by 815AM! Just thinking about it makes my head spin as long gone are the days that I just grab my purse and head out the door! I have a checklist on the door so I can mentally check to ensure I have everything for everyone. Somedays I feel like Superwoman! :)
