We are officially 2 months away from our baby's due date! That is if he comes "on time". Gordie still thinks it will be the last week in November. I'm hoping he holds out for December though. :) That also means 2 months until our families visit, woohoo! Gordie's parents haven't ever been out here so we are so anxious for them to visit! I just hope we don't have too much snow on the ground by then. We also can't wait to see my parents again as they'll be out here as well! We'll have a house full which is what the holidays are all about and we can't wait. It is almost unreal how fast this year has gone by. It seems like it just began and here we are 2 months until 2010! These next few months are going to fly by but we are ready!
We haven't really done anything else to prepare us for our baby other than keep reading our books and buy a few small items here and there. We have our 8 hr baby prep class in 3 weeks so we're looking forward to that. Despite it being the day Carolina plays Vanderbilt. I'm hoping that game will be a night game so Gordie doesn't miss it. *keeping my fingers crossed*
He is constantly kicking and that is probably an understatement. It doesn't really matter what time of day it is now. He is starting to kick my ribs and move around even more than before. In so many books I've read, it says his activity will start to slow as we get closer to his due date since he will lose space/room. However, he is proving those books wrong and is just getting more and more active if that is possible. haha. He definitely reminds me many hours of the day and night that he's in there and will be coming soon!
We borrowed a CD from a friend of ours that just had a baby and it is a blend of classical music favorites that were released by a doctor that apparently stimulates the baby and boy did get stimulated! He particularly liked Le Nozze di Figaro and Violin Concerto. It was really cute to see him react to certain songs over others. It brought back memories of us putting a classical CD on repeat when Miller was a puppy and wouldn't sleep at night. To this day, he will fall asleep easily if we play the CD for him. Maybe that will work for baby Baker? We'll see!
Our next baby appointment is this Wednesday and after that I'll be going every 2 weeks. Look for an update then! Hopefully we can get a better ultrasound picture of him this time if he would just stay still!
Today is Wesley's birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY WESLEY! :)
