4 Months!

Baker turned 4 months yesterday! Time is flying by so fast and I can't believe he is already 4 months old. He has changed so much since the day he was born. I can't believe it was that long ago already as that day is still so fresh in my mind like it was yesterday! I can't imagine that I'll ever forget the specific times, feelings, statements made that day, or images from my mind for as long as I live. That was one special day!!

Baker is doing great. He is still sleeping wonderfully and continues to sleep through the night. We made the transition 2 Saturdays ago to move him to his crib in his room. We were reluctant as we weren't sure how he would cope but he LOVES it. He really sleeps well in there and we couldn't be happier. He usually sleeps 8-10 hours a night. Of course he naps in the evening before bed as his daycare is really wearing him out during the day. I honestly can't complain but have heard from more experienced moms that if your first is this easy that the second will be a terror! We'll see about that when the day comes but I can't imagine that a baby of mine would be a terror :P

Sound the alarms! I am done breastfeeding!!! Some people may turn their nose up at that statement since they like you to do it one full year but honestly 4 months was ENOUGH for me. It was getting really difficult to continue while working as I am just so busy to take the time out and do it several times a day. Baker seems to like Enfamil just as much as the breastmilk and I still have a big stock of it in our freezer for when he gets sick or needs a little extra TLC. Making a bottle is SO much faster than having to pump. I am glad I did it for 4 months but I am also extremely happy to pack that pump away! It just gives me more time to spend with Gordie and Baker and live my life outside of pumping. I really was feeling too close of a relationship than I'd like with that pump. I felt like I spent more time with it than I did with Baker when I was on maternity leave.

Baker's daycare just called me and said he is running a low grade fever of 100.8. I am pretty sure it is due to teething; however, if it gets to 101 then I have to go pick him up. I am 1 1/2 hours away from picking him up anyway so hopefully he can hold out. They said he isn't fussy or acting like anything else is wrong so I'm pretty sure that is what it is or at least I hope!! I can't take anymore sicknesses for a while. That RSV and double ear infection mess back in February did me in for a while. I just want him to stay healthy!! Let's hope that a little tooth about to come through is the culprit.

I'll let you know!
