Today is Baker's last day at Tender Years daycare as we signed him up this past Wednesday to attend the CDC (child development center) on base. I know it will be a good move but all of you know I have a hard time with change and I've just gotten used to the people and care where he is now that I really will miss it! I know they will miss him too! I know we'll feel the same way about his new daycare once we get into the routine of going there. It will be closer and a lot easier for us so I just hope we are making the right move. One nice thing about the CDC is that they offer Parents Night Out! Every 3rd Saturday of every month they have spots for you to reserve to have them watch your baby for a few hours while you do whatever you want! You have to call first thing in the morning to reserve a spot (they go quickly) the Thursday prior. It rotates every month from morning times to evening times. The PNO night coming up is next Saturday and its an evening one. I'm going to try and see if we can get a spot so we can go to dinner and possibly see a movie!! If we don't then we'll just try for it in April.
Currently our microwave is not working and our landlord has YET to get back to me about fixing it. I have just about had it up to HERE with them and their ability to fix things which doesn't exist. I feel like calling or e-mailing them to get something fixed or done is bothering them or something since they just never respond. You never know how much you miss a microwave until you don't have it! I just didn't realize how much I used that little box! Our lease is up at the end of this month which has sparked me to look at other places to rent. Can you believe our landlord hasn't even contacted us yet about our lease?!? You would think that would be #1 priority on their list. Oh well, if they aren't caring, neither will I. I've looked around other places and I'd like to find somewhere a little cheaper than where we are now but I haven't found anything yet. I mean I absolutely love where we are now especially since we have such wonderful neighbors and it is in a great location but in all honesty, I can't take much more of our crappy landlord. They strung us out on getting the bathroom done this summer, then the dishwasher, then the back door, the sprinkler system, then a water pipe, and now the microwave. Not to mention, we have been thinking about getting an electrician out to look at the house's electrical outlets. So many of them just "dont work" and it makes me wonder if there is a short somewhere. I seriously can't live somewhere that might be hazardous to our well being! I don't want to live in fear of us being in a huge fire hazard!! Oh the decisions...
Other than that, everything is going great! Gordie has an appt next week to see his PCM on base about his medical board so we shall see what comes of that. We aren't holding our breaths but more or less leaving it up to God what they determine and what his future in the AF is.
Today is my half day today so I'm just home relaxing. I need to pick Baker up in 45 minutes from daycare so I guess I should be getting ready to head out. I think I'll take Miller for a ride in the car to go get him. He'd like that and I think Baker will too. They really do love eachother or so we think! Miller just doesn't know when to stop giving him "kisses" and just wants to lick his face until its drenched! Kinda gross if you ask me but I guess that's just some "brotherly love" :)
Oh and on another note, today is pay day! woohoo!! Also, don't forget to move your clocks ahead this weekend for Spring Forward. I am hoping the time change doesn't affect Baker's sleeping schedule too much. I know it usually messes with me for a while so hopefully it doesn't throw him off his wonderful sleep schedule he currently keeps! cross your fingers :)
