Can you believe it? Baker is actually 21 months old and is just 3 months shy of his SECOND...let me repeat...SECOND birthday! Phew, Mr. Clock...you can slow down now!
Baker is doing a lot more these days and I won't go into every detail but let's just say he knows just what to do to warm my heart each and every day. When I walk in the door from being gone and he sees me, hearing him say "Mama!" really loud makes me smile from ear to ear. Tantrums have begun but aren't in full force yet. And the SC humidity is proving to be horrible for his skin and wearing diapers. We haven't started any potty training yet. Our pediatrician told us to wait with him until he is at least 2 so we'll see! He has a nasty bout of a yeast infection rash that we are trying to clear up. I'm just not used to lathering him up with every change. In Utah I don't think we ever had issues or had to use much cream. However, we wouldn't trade it for anything! I guess I am behind as I should be planning Baker's 2nd birthday! I think I'm in denial that it really is 3 months away. I'm thinking we'll just do a small family party. Maybe when he gets older and has more "friends" that he communicates with on a daily basis and doesn't just steal their toys at daycare then we'll have a big party somewhere. I know. I know. I said we'd do a big 2nd birthday party since we didn't have much of a 1st birthday party but we'll just play it by ear. These days he LOVES Elmo, trains, animals, and Caillou. So I guess these are potential themes!
