A Splashing Good Sunday

I finally was able to find one of those green sandbox turtles for Baker. I had been looking ALL over for one and was determined NOT to pay full price for one at the store. My persistence and patience paid off! I found one on Friday afternoon at the golden treasure of all consignment shops in Lexington, Good as New. Some of their stuff are such great finds and it was only $20!! I'm definitely going to try and be more thrifty in the future and not just run to the Target or Wal-mart nearby and grab Baker a toy. He enjoys the simplest things around the house so any toys we get will definitely be these bargain finds from now on.

We tried it out on Sunday and it was definitely a hit! Here are some snapshots I took...

My handsome boy

The turtle has a little moat around the edge. It's so cute because it's perfect size for his ducks to float around in.

Daddy got in on the action.

They had fun because Miller was trying to lick Baker and drink the water from the turtle. I guess he thought it was a huge water bowl!

Not sure what he's doing in this picture. Future dancer or Wide Receiver?

Cheesing at Daddy

Gotta love a butt shot! I just love his tush!

Later that evening, we went to dinner at Lizard's Thicket with my parents who just got back in town from being on vacation! I was so jealous of them. They went out to AZ for my mom to walk at her graduation!! Let's hear it for my mom in getting her Master's Degree!! Woooohooo Mom! You are such inspiration in proving that no matter at what stage in your life you are at you can do anything! She worked so hard for several years (working a more than full time job) at it and she is finally done! We are so proud of her! They drove out to AZ and made a nice vacation out of it and rented a beautiful home for the week. My brother spontaneously flew out there during their second week to be with them and enjoy some time off as well before he starts his new job! They went to Vegas and the Grand Canyon too! I wish we could have been there but thankfully they broadcasted the graduation online so we got to watch it from afar! My brother took a job in Charleston, SC so he will be moving down there soon! ;'( Yes, we are happy for him but sad that he'll be an hour and half away at the same time. It is definitely a good move for him career wise though so we are definitely backing his decision to advance. Now we'll just have even more of an excuse to go to the beach in Charleston to visit!

The frame we made for my mom. I'll upload a picture of her with it soon!

Baker having a good time outside LT on the rocking chairs.

Baker with his Poppy and Nana. Sorry mom! I know you were in the middle of drying her hair but I wanted a picture!

We have lots to be thankful for these past few weeks with all the blessings that have been going on in my family! Hope y'all have a good week!
