The Weekend - Bridle Style

An dear friend of mine, Katherine Bridle, came to visit with her husband Dan and little girl, Hannah. I hadn't seen Katherine in years! It has been way too long and it was SO good to catch up after all these years. Hannah is 2 months younger than Baker and we have been dying to get them together since we moved back to SC. We made it a point to schedule a weekend to get together so they came down from Statesville, NC for the weekend!
We met up at our house to play for the morning. I found out quickly that Baker doesn't like to share his own toys with little ones his age. Everything Hannah grabbed he saw and snatched it out of her hands. He certainly doesn't do this at daycare (I asked!) They say he plays quite nicely there. However, I'm guessing it was because it was his house and his toys that he was overly protective of them. Poor Hannah! I'm sorry Baker wasn't more of a sweet playmate! She would cry when Baker took the ball out of her hands and her cry is the sweetest. Her bottom jaw quivers and says ma ma ma ma until she peaks and then it turns into a wahhhhhhhhhhhh. Once she hit a full blown cry then Baker would cry just because she was. Faker Baker! ;) We parted ways and ate lunch and attempted to take naps. We met up with them later that afternoon for some fun @ Monkey Joes. They both had a blast and I think we were sweating just as much as they were keeping up with them!

Here's Part I and Part II of them having fun at MJ's!

Saturday night was my 10 year High School Reunion. I'll let the pictures describe. It was so fun seeing everyone!

Sunday morning when Baker woke up he started to moan and then said ma ma ma ma ma wahhhhhh just like Hannah would. I was like awwwww!! He just loves to imitate everyone! We met up with the Bridle's for lunch at Lizards Thicket. It was amazing as usual. We love our southern home cookin'! But it made me see that Baker has a little of my OCD in him because both little ones were in their high chairs next to each other and had their placemats on the table and he wouldn't allow them to be overlapping. The table wasn't that wide but he had to have some space between them. It made us laugh so hard! It was so great to catch up with Katherine and meet Dan and Hannah. Next time we're going to visit them up in NC! We can't wait!!

You can see what I was talking about with the placemats in this one. Baker had to take his toys in the restaurant.

Us & our sweet babies!
