This picture captures Baker to the tee. He loves to smile, laugh, giggle, and smirk these days. His personality is shining through so much lately. He is getting to be more friendly to any and everyone telling and waving hi and bye to people.
We are battling potty training. Sometimes he does great and I feel like we are making strides and other days I feel like we've taken 20 steps backwards but he will get there! When he's not trying to use the big boy potty, he's wearing size 5 diapers. I refuse to go further than that size. I think buying only pull ups is in our future.
A few of his favorite things: rice, steak, chicken, french fries, lettuce, cookies (click cookies to see a video),"nola" bars (granola bars), and lastly "meeelk" or as we know it milk. This boy can down a gallon of milk in a few days. It's pretty crazy and not to mention expensive but at least it is good for him! He loves his SNACKS!
He won't go to sleep without his pillow, blanket, and teddy. Gordie got him "Teddy" for Christmas 2010 when we moved home that has become his baby. He takes him everywhere and requests him when it is time to sleep. I just hope we can hang onto teddy forever -- we have had a few hard nights of crying when teddy was "lost".
A few of his favorite phrases: that's cool, aww man, me tewww, I want, Can I, ewwww mama, look a slide! His verbal skills are getting so much better with his speech therapy. He is formulating sentences and actually phrasing what he wants and communicating it to us. He can say his entire name, tell you that he is officially TWO, say his alphabet from A-Z, and count from 1 all the way to 20!
Baker asked me his first question yesterday while we were in the car on the way to school. On the road to our house there are 2 ponds. He's obviously seen this pond many many times but yesterday was the first time he asked me a question. "Mama, what's in there?" I told him it was a pond and most likely there were lots of fish in the pond for people to catch with their fishing poles!" He responded with "ohhhhh, that's cool. What color are the fish? White or black?" I smiled and laughed under my breath because I couldn't quite understand why he was wondering if they were white or black??? I said "Most likely they are black fishies" I mean how many white/albino fish exist?? He said "Yeah, Mama. Me too".
I just love our morning rides to school/work. I think those rides to and from school are my favorite parts of the day. Where its just us talking and singing as we ride in the car together.
We love you Baker Liam Moore!
