20 weeks! |
We recently had our angel baby anniversary of what would have been my due date on July 7th. We know that our angel baby is carefully watching over us and this baby. Even though it was not advantageous for me to cry on this weekend, it was an emotional all around. I've always had mixed, unsettling emotions about my miscarriage but trust that God had a plan for that baby and although we will never understand why we put all our trust and faith in Him. It also didn't help that I have a cold (yes, who else gets sick in the middle of 100 degree heat in the summer?!) and am overly emotional being pregnant anyway. We are just blessed to be able to share in the blessings of another pregnancy so close after miscarrying.
On a more happier note, we are really looking forward to this Thursday, July 12th as we have our big anatomy scan where they measure everything on the baby and hopefully if the baby is cooperating then we'll find out the gender! We'll be leaving for the beach on Saturday so we are really looking forward to escaping reality for 4 whole days at Folly Beach. I'm going to wait to reveal the gender until we get back so all family is aware before the news goes public. Gordie thinks its a girl. I'm on the fence but lean towards thinking its a girl. I am carrying completely different than I did before; however, they say each pregnancy is totally different so who really knows! The Chinese Gender Calendar which was right with Baker says it will be a girl but only God knows the truth! However, we are hoping He'll be kind enough to share the wonderful news with us on Thursday. We don't have a preference what this baby is as long as it is healthy.
I did get a report back from my dr. office about my genetics testing and both the first and second round of genetics testing came back clean so we are over the moon about those results. Just keep on growing baby m! It's been since our 12 week appt that we have seen the baby in an ultrasound so I have a feeling we will be so surprised and overjoyed to see him/her.
Until we get back -- Surfs up!
