It's A... |
That's right!! We will be welcoming Baker's baby brother this November! Gordie and I were both a little surprised because we were thinking the entire time it was going to be a girl. However, we are over the moon for this baby and for Baker to experience what it is like growing up with a brother around the house. Of course I can't relate to that but Gordie sure can! The biggest blessing is that the anatomy scan at my 20 week appt went great. They got all the shots/measurments they needed to ensure that this pregnancy is going according to plan and the baby is measuring up nicely at 13 oz which is just bigger than a can of coke and his heartbeat was 157bpm. I know I am a pack rat and on some levels I am getting better about purging what we don't "need" but this time having that habit saves us big time. I saved every piece of clothing, onsie, sock, shoe, etc. we bought for Baker and packed them up nicely in boxes according to size so this means we don't have to do any clothes shopping! Since they will be born just a few days apart...we're completely set. :)
Although the first 2 days after finding out Baker was still calling my tummy his "seester" it finally has sunk in and he says he loves his baby brother and kisses my tummy. I have no doubt in my mind that he's going to be the best big brother...ever.

Sweet Baby Boy's face! |

His profile. It looks like he's blowing bubbles from sucking on his fingers. :) |

There you have it -- It's a Boy! |
Baker helped me create our announcement with shells on the beach. He enjoyed gathering all the shells and especially putting them into shapes of letters.

He was so proud to show Daddy what we did. |
Cute, cute! So exciting. Do you feel like an 'ol pro now?
