Happy July 4th!

Happy July 4th Everyone!

We spent our holiday the only way we knew how to keep cool and that was by the pool!  The temperatures have been in the low to mid 100s lately which makes any outdoor event a no go because you can barely breathe.  Being in the pool makes the heat a little more tolerable! Baker had a blast playing in the pool with everyone especially using his new "puddle jumper".  It really made him have confidence (a little too much) in the water. He was jumping off the sides of the pool into Gordie's arms, kicking is legs, moving his arms, and attempting to swim.  We all had a great time! We then had a small cookout afterwards and walked around our neighborhood for a nice [FREE] fireworks show!  We all got some sun, ate too much, and stayed up past our bedtimes but that's what holidays are for, right?  At least next year it won't be in the middle of the week!  The whole holiday on a Wednesday really threw all of us off our schedules.

Hope everyone took a moment to remember the real reason for Independence Day -- We salute all our troops!!
