I had my 37 week appointment this week and not too much has changed since last week except that I am in between 1-2 cm dilated and am 70% effaced. He is making progress in the right direction towards delivery as he is at a -3 in my pelvis. That just means that his head is engaged and he's in position to start making his debut when he is ready. I am just so blessed to have had such a great pregnancy. Aside from the minor aches and pains of him hitting a nerve and making an intense pain shoot down my legs...I am so blessed to still be doing my normal routine everyday. I have gained 1 lb since last week and my blood pressure was only 110/60 which is great. I haven't taken my 37 week picture but I'll post it when I do!!
I signed Baker up for a Super Sibling Class at the hospital back in late September. It apparently is a popular class because I had to wait all the way until November 6th for an open spot! The class was geared towards children (obviously) and making them feel special and get prepared for the new baby's arrival. They got suited up like doctors to do a tour of labor and delivery and they even got to play with the hospital bed buttons. Baker felt pretty special wearing the Dr. hat and mask and I have to say it was incredibly cute watching him walk around like such a big boy. We got to take him by the nursery again and he loved seeing a brand new baby. He made a comment out loud to us which the entire group ended up hearing and that was "Look Mommy, is that a real baby?" :) I'm glad we took the time to go through the hour long class. It was definitely worth it and I do think made Baker feel extra special!
