The Beach!

We finally got to v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n or as I like to say...escape from reality and hit the beach! It was a great, much needed weekend trip for us. We had so much fun! We got out of work early on Friday and headed down to Charleston around 1:30PM. Our first stop was Isle of Palms. We took Miller with us and they allow dogs on the beach so when we got there the first stop was to get Miller in the ocean. Of course he loved it. Miller loved the lakes in Utah so I knew he would LOVE the ocean. It was so fun to watch him jump the waves. Unfortunately we weren't expecting Baker to just run straight in so needless to say our hands were FULL!

Saturday @ Folly Beach

Saturday was a full day at the beach but this time we went to Folly. We had tons of fun in the water, sand, and sun. None of us got burnt which was a relief as I was OCD in constantly basting it on Baker's ivory skin. We borrowed my parents umbrella and we were so thankful for that shade because it was so hot!!

LOVING the water - This is where he got his new nickname of "Waterbug!"

Overall the weekend was wonderful. We got to walk around the battery downtown on Saturday evening and even found a frozen yogurt place for dessert. We ate tons of seafood (The Sandcastle on Friday night and Bowen's Island on Saturday night). We wrote our names on the railing at Bowen's so we'll have to visit it next year! Vacations always take forever to come but somehow go by so quickly. However, we had a blast and can't wait to do it again next time!

Pure bliss - he was in his element. This boy loves his family and the coast!
