Happy 4th of July!

I hope all of you had a great fourth of July! We started our day off at the Lexington County Gilbert Peach Festival! We had a great time listening to music (Baker loved to clap and "dance" to it), eating lunch, and enjoying everything peach! We had peach cobbler and peach ice cream! All of it was delicious. We got a basket of peaches so we could satisfy our peach fix even more. This year is the 53rd annual festival. I have been going with my parents for years so it has become somewhat of a tradition to go and I'm glad we were able to go this year now that we are back in town! Gordie had never been so he was excited to see what it was all about too! Unfortunately the fireworks show wasn't until 10PM so we won't be seeing their show this year; however, we saw a bunch in our neighborhood! I love to see fireworks and Baker LOVES them too!

After the festival we were all DYING from the heat so we stopped by my brothers to dunk in the pool for a bit to cool off. Baker had a blast and we all enjoyed the water. We are finding out being near water is the key to surviving a SC summer. It is just TOO HOT being outside without it.

Here's to our troops and their families...Happy Independence Day!!
