The picnic wore him out
Later that evening we decided to do something fun for Baker since Gordie was able to scoot out of work at 5 instead of closing til 745. We decided to do a quick trip to Monkey Joes! Baker hadn't ever been and we had been wanting to try it out as we heard so many good, fun things about it. Well, it was worth the $5.00 admission for Baker because he literally had a ball! He was smiling, giggling, and belly laughing. He loved everything about it. I definitely know we will be frequenting MJ's a lot in our future! After playing hard, we stopped by Casa Linda's for a bite to eat. I wasn't impressed with the one on Harbison a few months ago but I definitely didn't order the right thing. This time we got Chicken Racheras and that IS the dish to get AND it is only $6.50!! You can't beat that.
Hanging at Monkey Joes! Here are some videos I took:
Sunday we went to a cookout/get together at one of Gordie's co-workers house that actually lives less than 2 miles from our house. She has a beautiful home and we enjoyed all the yummy food and relaxing in her pool. Baker and I enjoyed floating around the pool while Gordie and another girl's boyfriend had fun goofing off in the pool like boys always do!
Baker & Courtney!
We left the pool party just in time to get Baker to VBS! That's right, Baker is attending Pineview Baptist Church vacation bible school this week! We are Methodist but this is the daycare owners church and I'm really excited for Baker to get to go to VBS this year. I know we both went when we were younger and we want Baker to experience it too!
Overall, it was one awesome weekend! I hope y'all had a good one. Is it just me or are these summer weeks just flying by? Who is ready for football season!? I'm hoping I can squeeze Gordie to a Carolina game this year. With him working at JW, he only gets off 8 Saturdays a year and gamedays are usually VERY busy for them.
