35 Weeks = 1 month left!

35!
This week I am 35 weeks and today (10/25) marks the official milestone of 1 month until my due date!  My Dr. appt on Tuesday went well.  My BP was slightly higher than it has been (120/68) but they didn't seem too concerned about it yet. I've gained 28 lbs to date which my Dr. is pleased with.  They did my GBS test and I got my first check to see if I had any progression. I assume we'll find out the results from my test next week.  I didn't have it before with Baker but we'll see this go round.  If I do have it then they'll just administer IV antibiotics when I'm in labor to prevent the baby from getting it.

Since I did get checked this visit, she did tell me that some progression has started as I am 1 cm.  I wasn't dilated at any OB appointments with Baker but I assume its probably because my body has been through this before.  My Dr. wasn't concerned as many people walk around being 1 cm dilated for weeks.  She did say that the baby's head is RIGHT there and that was the reasoning behind me saying I was feeling really heavy all the time and that was probably the culprit for the pain that has been shooting down my right leg--his head is hitting a nerve!  He is head down, ready, and making all the steps in the right direction towards labor. My next appt is the 30th at 8am.  My Dr. did mention that I should have my hospital bag ready by now so I think that'll be on my to do list this weekend.

It's no joke when people tell you that your 2nd pregnancy flies by because I feel like this one literally did.  There was no time to sit and lounge after work, be lazy on the weekends, or grab food out because we didn't feel like cooking dinner.  Baker is keeping us on our toes as he is constantly on the go wanting to play outside, paint, play toys, and bathe every other night.  I also would rather make a home cooked meal at home than run out and grab something so Baker has a well balanced meal vs. a quick "bite" to eat somewhere.  Being pregnant and keeping up with him is exhausting as the days and weeks fly by and months seem to go by even faster than they used to.  I know our lives will just get turned upside down even more when the baby comes but we can't wait!  Bring on the sleepless nights, more forgetfulness, and days that turn into nights and we forget what day it even is.  I will NOT accidentally wash my phone in the washing machine this time.  I've learned my lesson the first time!  ha ha ha.

I'm just so excited to be able to be on this journey again but this time we are home where our family can be a part of it every step of the way!
