I took Baker to the Dr. yesterday as he has been coughing non-stop. He's never coughed so much EVER. Friday night he barely slept because he was up coughing so much. When I was in the waiting room, I had noticed his L ear had dried drainage all over it and nasty crusties in his ear. Obviously the tubes were doing their job but UGH. We got seen by Dr. Lam (Dr. Chen doesn't work on Saturdays) and he was very nice. He said Baker has a bad ear infection and the tube was indeed helping so it obviously wasn't as bad as it could be but there will be more drainage to come. He put him on Omnicef which Baker has been on before. It works great but has nasty side effects=red/orange poo! YUCK. We had our first dose of that this morning. I am giving him the acidophilus to assist in him getting his tummy back in check so we don't have a diarrhea battle. He hasn't even had these tubes one month yet and we have an infection. I did read somewhere that it takes a few weeks to almost a month for an ear infection to clear up so I'm thinking Baker hasn't ever really gotten over his previous ear infections in the past before he would get another one. Poor guy. Dr. Lam said daycare is to blame since most ear infections start out as colds and we all know that daycares are a germs "day at the fair" with all the kids at his age trading toys and drool that is on them. Oh how I wish I could just save him from all this and stay home with him!
Since Baker has had a rough time, we figured there would be something we could give him to cheer him up. PANCAKES! He has had waffles at daycare but I don't get to see him partake in it so I figured we'd have a Sunday breakfast of pancakes and see how he likes them. Well likes doesn't even describe it. He LOVED them. Here are a few pictures!
*They are from my phone so they aren't the best quality.
Am I supposed to eat this?

Oh yes, that was yummy Daddy!

More please! *As he smiles at me with a full mouth of pancakes! :)
