YAYY. I love birthdays and we sure do love to celebrate! Today is my mom's birthday but we celebrated mostly last night due to everyone's schedule. We went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and enjoyed a great family dinner (mom, dad, brother, gordie, baker, and me). We had the most interesting appetizer and for those of you who haven't tried them or are reluctant (like we were at first) it was AWESOME. Ready to hear what it was? FRIED PICKLES! YUM, seriously they were delicious. I had them years ago in Murrells Inlet but seriously don't remember them tasting that good. After dinner we opened presents and ate birthday cake! It was a little late so Baker didn't partake in any of the cake since we all wanted to get some sleep that night. He had some today after his dinner for dessert and he demolished it - I'd say he definitely likes to get messy, feed himself, and eat!
2 birthday balloons and my dad couldn't resist and got Baker an Elmo balloon which he LOVES to look, point, and squeal at!

Cheesing for the camera but most importantly having fun playing with a card envelope and wrapping paper!
Today is also Baker's 16 month "birthday"! I can't believe it is possible for him to be 16 months already. So far the biggest accomplishment of 15 months is that he started to walk. I expect him during this month to really excel in walking. Happy 16 months Baker!! Mommy & Daddy are SO proud of you. You mock and imitate us on a daily basis and are the reason why we smile so big every day. You are such a gift even when you do have mini meltdowns in public places. :)
*Side note - We got pre-approval for our VA loan! Now we just have to find the right house - woohoo! With Gordie working on Saturday's our searching is limited to Sundays but we will find it, I know the perfect house for us is out there waiting. We can't wait to get settled and get our stuff out of storage and back where we know where everything is!
