I hope all of you had a great weekend and that includes Mother's Day! The weekend was a pretty relaxing one for all of us. My parents and Aunt Kathy went to the Darlington race on Saturday so Baker and I had the house to ourselves! We relaxed and played all day long. Gordie closed at work that evening and then we went out and grabbed some quick dinner at Zaxby's.

Sunday was Mother's Day and I certainly was treated with a sweet gift. Gordie and Baker bought me a beautiful pair of pearl earrings. Gordie had given me some when we got married but between our move to Utah and our moves since then I lost one of them. I now have another pair that I am going to make sure I hang onto. We gave my mom a beautiful Southern Gates collection necklace and gave Gordie's mom a sweet charm bracelet. All the gifts were a hit. As you can imagine, they all came from Jewelry Warehouse! :) After our gift exchange we headed out to Camden to see Gordie's mom (my second mom)! We brought lunch into the shop and they enjoyed some fried flounder sandwiches while Baker and I had chicken tenders! Later that evening we met up with my parents, Aunt Kathy, and Tim out at his house as they were lounging by the pool. They weren't getting too much sun since they had gotten burnt the day before at the race. We relaxed a bit and then went to dinner with them at Bellacino's and then we headed home to the house. If you remember from my earlier post, Baker has been sick. Sneezing, coughing, ear drainage, etc. We ended up taking him to the ER on Thursday evening and they only told us he had 2 bad ear infections so they gave us drops and we were on our way. They didn't think the green coming out of his nose and eyes was anything to be concerned about. Saying it was all due to his ear infection. Well, I knew that we'd be back or have to get some more meds soon enough because those ear drops wasn't going to fix those problems. He still wasn't getting any better and unfortunately he shared his sickness with EVERYONE! My poor Aunt Kathy left our house sounding absolutely horrible! We are so sorry!! I got an appointment at Fort Jackson on Monday and got both Baker and myself seen - classic SC crud sinus infection. I stayed home from work on Monday and Tuesday and am still trying to get over this cough! We are all having a hard time keeping our allergies controlled. I don't know what is different this year about it. Crazy! We are looking forward to the weekend though. Hopefully there will be lots of relaxing!
