Baker and Tienisha at Wee Care
Baker's last day at Wee Care was on Friday, 5/20. It was hard to say goodbye but the move will be good for all of us. Hopefully since we should be closing on our house soon! He started Love n Laughter on Monday, 5/23. He seemed to have a great first day and got a great report! Luckily I had a blanket in my car because I felt so bad I had forgotten one for him at nap time! He attended for one full day and half of another until I got a call that he was running a 101 fever. Can this be true?!?! Did he seriously pick up something from the new daycare already? I thought it was just his teeth but he was coughing pretty bad so we kept him home Wednesday and Thursday and he went back on Friday. Gordie took him to the Dr. on Wednesday and they gave him some liquid zyrtec. They are thinking his issues with constant drainage and coughing is allergies so he is allergic to something we just don't know what. The zyrtec seems to be helping but I just wish there was an easier way to give it to him every night. He fights the syringe like the plague! He also has some super dry patches on his skin so we have these huge tubs of lotion to put on him daily. So far they have helped clear up the spots so yay for smooth skin again!
I won't go into detail but Gordie has been having a rough time health wise too. After 2 trips to the Lexington Medical Center ER, an appointment to his primary care Dr. at Ft. Jackson, and referral visit to see a gastroenterologist, he's finally starting to feel somewhat back to normal! He's got a colonoscopy scheduled on June 8th so please keep him in your prayers. He either had a run in with a parasite or has some issue in his colon going on but hopefully he'll bounce back to normal soon!! We love you Gordie!! <3
