Great song

I spent the day at home today due to a nasty sinus infection I've been battling all week and finally got into the doctor today. Baker also has a little cough so hopefully his turns out to be nothing. I can't take another sickness for my little guy!! When I'm sick, no one can fix it better than your mama and I miss mine!! Don't get me wrong, Gordie has done a great job of taking care of me as usual.

This song is just a great one with awesome words. I never was much of a Miranda Lambert fan but this one is by far her best song yet in my opinion. After all, home is where the heart is. Gordie and I always talk about how we'll bring Baker back to Utah someday to see where we lived (our old apartment and the house he lived in while we were here), the hospital he was born, where we worked, and just the little things like seeing Miller's paw print we made in the concrete by the mailboxes across from our house. These are things he won't remember being so little so I think it would be fun to bring him back here. We just can't wait to get back to SC. We long for the days to just go to our parents house for dinner or go to a USC football game, or just be spontaneous and drive to the beach for a day. We have made the best of our situation living in Utah but we are so ready to be back with family, where we belong. When you're little, you can't wait to grow up and do what you want. Then when you're there, you long for the days when you were little. I suppose that's life but either way we will get back to SC sooner or later if not by sometime next year. Gordie's medical board was submitted and is now started so we'll just see what comes of that. Keep us in your prayers. We need all we can given his roller coaster ride of a career in the Air Force. But for now, I'm going to try to get us all feeling better and focus on our sweet baby. He won't be a baby for long and since we are coming up on his 1st birthday in a few short months, we are realizing that time is only going faster and faster these days.
