Friday we took Baker to the Dr. office as we thought he might have an ear infection. I was told by his ENT that if he had one that we needed to get him on antibiotics ASAP given his surgery this week so I got him an appointment right away to be seen. Luckily, he didn't have an infection but just a ton of wax in his ears! They cleaned them out and irrigated one of his ears (he was NOT a fan of that) and we left! We met Gordie at the Layton Commons Park and fed the geese after he watched a friend of his son's pee wee football practice. Baker wasn't much interested in the geese or ducks but we had fun throwing them bread! We treated ourselves to dinner out at Chili's afterward which was a nice cap to a great Friday night.

Check out his radiant blond locks!!
Saturday was just a lazy day around the house. Gordie had flag football practice with his squadron as he is the coach this year. He really had a great time and I'm so glad he is able to do it this year. So that let me spend some quality time with my little boy so we just played and napped!
Sunday was a nasty day as a storm front came through and we had 60-70+ MPH winds. It was nice to have some rain & thunder for a change but we could have done without the winds. At this altitude when the pressure drops, I get HORRIBLE migraines. All I have to do is look at the weather and know when I will get my migraines. Say it isn't so? I wish the AF would realize it is detrimental to my health to live here but I can't live without my boys so I guess I will just tough it up and wait it out a little while longer.
On another note, Baker turned 9 months on Sunday! I just can't believe in a few short months he will be a year old! He is growing up so fast. I didn't really get to enjoy his 9 month "birthday" since I felt so horrible but every day is like a birthday to me because he is just such a joy to be around. Berta at the CDC just goes on and on about how Baker makes her laugh and smile each day. I think we have a charmer or a class clown on our hands. He absolutely is growing and turning into such a little boy!
He is back to eating 8 oz again. We tried baby food meats mixed with veggies and he LOVES it. Chicken and mixed veggies or chicken and sweet potatoes. Looks like he is ready for some Chick-fil-a in his future! :)
Right now he weighs 19 lbs and is 28 inches long! Not really crawling yet but I'm thinking it is because his equilibrium is off due to so many ear infections. Another mom at his daycare brought it up when I was talking about it and the ENT agreed. We'll see if this surgery helps "fix" his crawling issue. He would much rather stand/walk with your help than crawl. Maybe he will just skip crawling all together? Only time will tell!
