Happy 1st Birthday Baker!
Baker had a great 1st birthday. It started out sleeping in a little and then relaxing around the house. My dad and I took him to Cutsie Cakes in Clearfield to him a cupcake to eat later and then went to lunch at Jason's Deli. Gordie joined us for lunch. We came home and Baker played while I did some packing. Gordie did some out processing stuff during the day and then came home in the early afternoon to celebrate with his boy. Our doorbell rang around 4PM and we had balloons! Baker got a big delivery of balloons from his Gamma and Gampa. He LOVED to look up and stare at them. We then got ready and headed out to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate! If you haven't noticed, we love Texas Roadhouse! They have the best tasting, affordable sirloin steaks...not to mention SWEET Tea! We called ahead so we didn't have to wait and we got seated in a cozy booth in the corner so it was nice and quiet! Baker loved the red & blue beer sign that was conveniently hanging in the corner so he stared at that off and on. We ordered Baker dinner off the kids menu - Macaroni & Cheese and Applesauce! He loved it. He wasn't able to eat all of it (I think he only ate 1/4 of it) but he absolutely loved it and was clapping after every bite. He was such a good boy during dinner too! If I didn't mention earlier, he had a little meltdown at NYPD Pizza in Layton on Friday so I was hoping he would do better and he did. He is teething as #7 is coming in and some other bottom teeth are looking like they'll be making an appearance soon so I'm sure that his recent fussiness is due to teething. Aside from that he has been an extremely happy boy! After dinner, we stopped by Target for my dad to get him a special birthday toy. He wanted to get him a laptop so that's what he got! Baker loves it! We also bought Baker a toy for when we get home. It was one of the ones he liked playing with at Christopher's house last week and it was on sale at Target so we got it at a great deal! We then came home to skype with my mom and have our cupcake! Baker had bits and pieces of a Nilla Vanilla cupcake! He loved the cupcake and the icing! He even did the "more" sign (sign language) for me to get him more on his plate. We got him 3 toys but were only able to squeeze one in last night. That toy was his curious george plush toy. It is almost as big as him and he was loving on him, squeezing him, and cuddling him. It was so sweet! He took him to his crib with him last night and I'd say he now has 3 crib buddies - Elmo, Gus, & George. The other two toys were a wooden puzzle and zoom zoom racer Vtech toy. You push down on the driver and the car takes off. I figured he would like chasing after it! All the excitement made bedtime a little difficult since he was a little sugar rushed and excited but he soon settled down and fell asleep. My dad has some more birthday pictures on his camera from dinner so I'll have to upload those once we get home and get them off the camera since we don't have the cord here. But for now, here's some pictures to sum up our baby boo's first birthday!
