Road Trip Day #6

Today is the day - our last day of our road trip home! We got up at 8AM and headed to breakfast. We were all anxious to get going so we hit the road around 10AM. We had a little fiasco trying to get fueled up before leaving Covington, GA since they had 2 diesel pumps but one was for off road and the other was regular. Of course the way our luck runs, Gordie pulled into the off road diesel pump by accident so we had to back up onto the road to access the regular diesel fuel and we were off! I road in the Penske truck with Gordie and Miller while my Dad followed us in the truck with Baker. We had a short drive today and of course we were in familiar territory too. We finally pulled into SC and were all smiles!

Miller in the cab of the truck - he was just happy to know he was going with us!

On the drive home, I was coordinating a storage unit for our stuff to go into while we are staying at my parent's house. Luckily the storage space I wanted had an available downstairs unit so we snagged it up and reserved the spot. We pulled into Columbia around 2PM. We headed to the storage unit to unload the truck around 3:15PM. We spent a good few hours unloading and organizing our stuff into the unit with the help of our wonderful family! To treat them for their help, we ate a great dinner at the Carolina Ale House. Despite the burgers being cold, the rest of the food was delicious! We are so happy to finally be back in the South!!
Hello Harbison Blvd!
Arriving at my parent's house - Roadtrip is complete!
My handsome husband who is by far the best driver on this earth. He can maneuver that truck with his eyes closed. I will be forever grateful for his perseverance and motivation during this trip. On so many occasions I got frazzled due to whatever because as you all know road trips are stressful especially 6 day long ones that require two vehicles, cat, dog, and a baby in the mix. I know driving that truck had to be even more stressful but he never once complained and drove that truck to the ground to get us back home. Thank you so much for getting us home safe and sound sweetheart! We love you!
