Happy Birthday Gordie!

Happy 29th Birthday to my sweet husband!

I can't believe he is 29 already! Next year is the big birthday so I'll have to figure out something special to do to celebrate. I at least have a year to think of something good, right? :) Overall, Gordie had a great birthday. We slept in (somewhat) and had a relaxing morning. He had a Madden 2010 Football match up with some guy in his shop that has been challenging him to a game for quite sometime scheduled for noon so he had to whoop some tail especially on his birthday!! I don't exactly understand boys and their video games but I guess whatever makes them happy and they have fun, right? Well, he beat the guy and apparently it was a close game too! He even bet $20 on the game that he would win...Well, I'm sure glad he won because I'm not so sure I would be happy with him betting money on games but he can do what he wants! I'm just glad he could bring home a good win on his birthday!

While he was playing his Xbox match up, Baker and I ventured to Target to get some birthday supplies. Yes, this was the FIRST outing alone with Baker and I might add that it went very well! It is a little difficult shopping by myself with him. I don't like putting his car seat on top of the buggy like where toddlers sit so that he is upright facing me. Something about that just doesn't seem safe like it would be top heavy or something. So I put him down in the cart where the groceries/items go. However, that makes for very little room for me to put anything. So I had to be selective in what I was buying which probably was a good thing! I tend to walk out of Target with more than what I intended on buying anyway. When we got home, I blew up some balloons and hung the Happy Birthday sign just in time for him to get home and he loved my little decorations~!

Later that evening, we celebrated his win and his birthday at where else? TEXAS ROADHOUSE! Yep, we are addicted. Their food is just the best! We got our usual steaks and had a great time. Baker did superb as usual. We saw our next door neighbors there as they were celebrating a birthday too! I'm so glad we utilize their call ahead seating option otherwise our wait would have been an hour and half! There's nothing like calling and doing things at home and then walking right to a table when you get there! Oh to see the envy on other peoples faces as they were wishing they did the same :) We came home and opened presents and topped the night off with a slice or two of good ole key lime pie! It was delicious. Here are some pictures to sum up the day!

Baker showing off to Daddy. His new thing is putting his hands together and sometimes interlocking his fingers oh and sticking his tongue out!

Baker just looking cute, as usual.
Our little rotund peanut. I had to get a diaper picture since we haven't taken one in quite sometime. Gotta remember that little belly!
Well that "little" belly isn't so little anymore!
Not sure why he was staring at me? :)
Birthday Boy & Baker! He really does have hair despite him looking bald in all these pictures. It's just so light you can't see it.
Here's a slight demonstration of the hands I talked about earlier.
Since I am usually the one taking all the pictures, Gordie wanted to make sure I was in some of these! YAY :)
Woohoo for birthday presents!
Baker sleeping through dinner which is typical at least for now.
Me about to inhale my dinner. I was STARVING!
The birthday boy waiting on his A1 sauce. Can you believe they didn't have any spare bottles in the restaurant?!?Didn't they know who was coming to celebrate one fine occasion? Well, the waiter said all of their bottles were out on tables and that he would have to wait until he could find one. That answer wasn't good enough for me. I wasn't having him wait for his steak to get cold before he could eat it especially on his birthday!! I walked around the restaurant and found a table not using it and saved the day! We got our drinks comped for the inconvenience but Gordie delighted in telling the waiter that his wife went and got it for him. My parents would be proud. I've come a long way from when I was younger. I used to be too shy to order my own food when we would eat out. Now I'm the first to speak up even if it isn't for or about me. :)
What a personality! He sure is starting to show more and more who he is and he seems to be quite the entertainer. Lately, he is all smiles and smiles with his tongue sticking out! :P
I said, "Let's go get ready for Daddy's Birthday" and he gave me this face. I'd say that is a half smile half yawn but I thought it was too precious.
