Happy Good Friday Everyone!
We have so much to be thankful for so many blessings and prayers are being sent God's way today. One of those prayers is for Baker's health to strengthen and for him to get better as our little guy came home early today with fever. :(
Here's a little background information: Last night was an odd one. Baker woke up at 3:30AM which was VERY unusual. I got up to see what was wrong and I popped his paci back in his mouth, turned on the sleeping sheep, and went back to bed. He calmed down and fell back asleep as well. At 4:40AM he woke me up crying again. This time I figured he was hungry so I warmed him up a bottle and changed him. That helped for a short period of time and then he was back at it again, crying. He felt a little warm but wasn't running a fever. We put him in the bed to see if he'd fall asleep or at least stop crying. 10 minutes later he was fast asleep but thank you alarm clock for going off 1 hour later reminding us to get up. Ughhh needless to say today I feel like I am dragging a little. I went into work for 3 hours this morning and was hoping to come home to clean up and nap before going and picking Baker up this afternoon. He hasn't utilized many of the 50 hrs he has alotted for each week so I was planning to have him there all day so I could get somethings accomplished. No sooner than 30 minutes of me getting off work that I got a call from the daycare. Baker was running a low grade fever of 100.8. When it reaches 101 they have to go home. They said they would call me back if it got there as I figured it was only a matter of time. 20 minutes later I got the call and headed to pick him up. He seemed in good spirits when I picked him up aside from looking a little flush in the face. Ms. Cher told me she took his temp and it was 101.8 and then 5 minutes later again and it dropped to 100.7 so who knows what's up. As a precaution I made an appointment at his doctor's office for 4:30PM today. He sounded a little congested this morning but I didn't have my nasal aspirator (thank you Miller for chewing it) so I had to go out and get another one which didn't happen until today after work. Now I have a replacement that will fit his tiny nostrils, I will be able to clean his poor nose out to see if that fixes his congested sound when he eats. I'm also glad they'll be able to check his ears again to ensure his double ear infection has cleared. At least I'm hoping they cleared up and praying there isn't another one in the works! The poor guy seemingly can't ever catch a break! At least this happened today versus next week so hopefully it's nothing and he can recover all weekend. I really wanted to go to church on Sunday with it being Easter and have Sam & Baby Carleigh over that afternoon to play & for dinner but now that might not happen depending on his condition...I'll keep you posted!
