We started the day off by getting up and going to church. Something we haven't been able to do much thanks to all our recent battles with Baker's sicknesses on top of Gordie's work schedule. It was good to see everyone there and of course they all had fun adoring Baker. He sure brings out many smiles with the older ladies as we had many "great grandma" types come over to us and say hello. He sat in the sanctuary with us for a while then he started to get a little too "chatty" so we took him to the nursery. There was only 1 other child in there (our church isn't that big) so he had pretty much 100% attention for the hour.
Gordie went to the church's softball team practice later that afternoon. This year they are only doing a co-ed team which is a little disappointing for Gordie since he enjoyed the men's team so much last year. But we'll see how many games he can attend this year with his work schedule. He should be going to days sometime soon. We can't wait as we don't get to see him hardly at all on swing shift.
We gave rice cereal another chance yesterday afternoon. I figured I would try my mom's advice and give it to him when he wasn't starving to see how he would take it. He started crying the minute I showed him the spoon/bowl. HA! It was pretty hilarious. Despite his crying, he did start to take the cereal down fine with a few screams in between spoonfuls. He got more down than the first try so I figure anything better than the day before is a success!

The infamous rice cereal

Trying it again (4/11/10)

This isn't so bad!

On second thought...gimme my ba ba!!
