We have quite a happy boy on our hands these days. He still only cries when he is 1) hungry or 2) tired. Other than that he is ALL smiles. He is loving tummy time now as you can see in the picture above. I never thought we were going to see this day that he actually smiled instead of screamed but we have! They took some cute pictures today at daycare so I am going to see if I can get them. :)
Milestones thus far:
- Still eating 5 oz Enfamil every 3 hours. He is also loving his rice cereal after his "lunch time" bottle. Last I heard he was still eating 1 tablespoon. I'll find out tomorrow if it has increased to 2 tablespoons yet or not.
- LOVING tummy time...at times. He is really pushing himself up now and is finally using those arms!
- Rolling over! He is definitely more mobile as the days go by. We have to be way more careful to not leave him anywhere that he could "roll off" as he is getting more adventurous with his urge to move around.
- He is holding his bottles when we feed him. He always did this before but he now will stop fussing when he sees his bottle and if we move it out of sight he will cry and then move it back in his line of vision and he'll stop crying. It's pretty funny. He always used to hold onto his bottle here and there with one hand but now he grabs the bottle with both hands and pulls it towards his mouth and holds it the entire feeding--definitely a big boy!
- 26 days til his first vacation which we are boarding a plane and heading back home to SC for 12 days!! We just can't wait for him to meet everyone. It should be interesting traveling that far with him since we've only taken car ride trips here or there for the day but never for that long at a time.
- He is SO content. The girls at the daycare keep telling me just how happy he is as when his other baby classmates cry that he just stares at them and gives them a look of "why are you crying?" hahaha so funny. He sure is the silent observer! They agreed with me that he only cries when he is hungry or tired which is great because he does the same at home so that tells me he is really comfortable there. We really love the CDC and the care he gets there so we couldn't be happier.
- Laughter. He is laughing and laughing and laughing! Sometimes he laughs at silly things I do, things he sees on TV, licks from Miller, Daddy blowing raspberries on his belly, or just laughing for no reason. He is just about the best, happy, content baby I've ever known!
- LOVES bathtime. He never hated it but he sure is getting more active in his tub. He kicks and splashes water EVERYWHERE. His feet touch the end of his tub now so him feeling that surface makes him want to straighten his legs even more to keep touching it which makes him excited and kick which in turn water flies everywhere.
- We have upped him to size 2/3 diapers. I buy those as they are 14 lb - 22 lb. He'll wear these for quite sometime so I'd rather get a big box of them versus smaller packages of just 2's.
- I'm not sure what he weighs right now. I'll have to weigh him once he wakes up momentarily from his nap. I guess watching the beginning of the draft wore him out! He has been taking lots of shorter naps at daycare lately but today he only napped for 30 minutes all day so he is pretty worn out.
It's time for his ba ba so goodnight!! Can't believe how fast time is going but we are enjoying/savoring every single minute. We truly are so blessed!
XOXO
