Today was the "Bundles for Babies" class on base and while it covered some information I knew, it also went over a lot that I didn't. Needless to say, I am glad that I went. We did get a nice canvas bag from the Air Force Society full of baby items. You can see all of them in the above picture. We also will get a really cute polka dot bag full of baby goodies once the baby is born and those are more gender specific as today the items were more neutral/general. I was happy because I don't have anything "yellow" as mostly everything we have is blue, green, and brown for a boy so it was nice to get a little different color in the mix. You can't see it but all of these items have the same "theme" with the words "little cutie" that use a rocking horse and a panda on several of the items. It is pretty cute and at least a little break from phrases like (#1 quarterback and all-star). Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love those but am happy to see a variety and our baby being referred to as cute instead of a sports athlete 100% of the time.
Here is a picture of the "Utah Creeper set" that Kent gave me that I mentioned in my post yesterday. As you can see, it really is adorable!
We got a special delivery package today! I had a nice box sitting on my doorstep when I got home from Aunt Pam, Gordie's aunt, that lives in Arizona. I waited until Gordie came home on his dinner break from work so we opened it together. It was a cute plush toy car that the headlights light up when you press the top, the wheels have a material in them that crunch when you touch them, and there are lots of colorful ribbons to tug on. It is soo cute! So cute and interesting that Miller wanted to take it from me when I got it out of the box. I can see any baby toys around will be a challenge since he thinks everything is for him, especially plush toys since they resemble something along the lines of what he has always played with. We also got the cutest sleep sheep that has multiple sounds (mothers heartbeat, ocean waves, etc.) that you can play and there is a timer and volume control so that it can soothe the baby to sleep. Gordie and I absolutely loved it and can't wait to put it to use! Thank you so much to Aunt Pam & Katie along with Matt and Emma for thinking of us and sending baby Baker such sweet gifts!
After a long day at work that started at 6:30AM and a long afternoon sitting in a class, I'm heading to bed early! :)
