Mandatory Pregnancy Class, The Move, & First Baby Appt

That next week we were signed up to attend a mandatory class they have on base for all expecting parents to attend. At that class, they provided a lot of good information and also gave you your OB referral. I had no idea who to go to since I didn't even have a GYN in the area.

After asking some people at my work, I went with Dr. Johansson with the Circle of Life Women's Clinic. I was anxiously awaiting April 30th as that was our first doctor's appointment with her. The clinic is amazing as the nurses and my Dr. really are the best. I highly recommend it to anyone here in Utah.
On April 30th, we saw the Dr. for the first time. I was 8.5 weeks pregnant and weighing in at 116 lbs. The baby already had a strong heartbeat so we felt confident and blessed from the beginning that we had a healthy baby on the way. We couldn't wait to call our parents to let them know the good news! Now it was just a matter of wondering, what next? Is it a boy or a girl? What do I eat? Will I get sick? A lot of unknowns but we were prepared for anything!

In the midst of finding out we were going to have a baby, we had already put in the works a move to a house! We quickly outgrew our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with us, Miller, and Freida. It just so happened that we were able to find a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house in Layton (close to the base and close to my work) with a fenced backyard (for Miller) and a TON more space. Not to mention that we would actually have space to have and decorate a nursery. :)
