We are Pregnant!

On April 2nd I had a suspicion that I might be pregnant but I wasn't 100%. We had been trying but not really trying if that makes sense. We were letting God intervene and when he felt the time was right then we knew it would be perfect for us. I took 1 pregnancy test a week prior because I was a little late; however, that one turned up "Not Pregnant" so I was blaming my period being late due to the stress that the AF was putting on us at the time. But then again, when is the AF not putting pressure on my husband? Well, something told me that morning before getting ready for work that I should try the second test just for the heck of it. For those that know me, I am blind without my contacts or glasses and half asleep that morning I took the test and while it processed I sat it on the counter and waited as the time passed by. I saw that the hour glass had disappeared and looked at the test. It said "Pregnant" and I gasped! I put on my glasses to see it clearer and ran into the bedroom to wake Gordie. I think I said the words "OMG GORDIE, I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU". I apparently woke him up from a terrible nightmare so he was afraid to know what news I had. However, when I jumped on the bed and said "I'm pregnant" his eyes immediately got big and you could see the excitement in them. He immediately called his family to inform them despite us not really confirming 100% but he said "he knew the home test was right". I called my parents and everyone was just ecstatic.

I called the clinic and made an appointment on base to get a blood test to confirm that I was indeed pregnant and my HC
G levels were definitely on the mark and I was on the road to having a bun in the oven!

We celebrated by calling all our family and friends and spending some much needed time together in our cozy apartment. We knew God blessed us with a miracle and were going to find out over the course of the rest of this year how amazing God really is.
