I absolutely LOVE my job but it is getting a little hectic realizing that I have only 12 weeks until I will be out on maternity leave, YIKES! We are in the process of interviewing candidates to fill in for me temporarily while I am out for 3 months. It is a little scary because I don't feel anyone will do the job as good as I do it. It's just hard putting faith of what I do in someone elses hands especially when I will be coming back to it after my leave. I just want to pick the right person so I am not left "picking up the pieces" when I return. I am praying God gives us the guidance and strength to make the right decision on the best person! I guess only time will tell...
In coming to the realization that our baby Baker will be here in 12 weeks, it made me realize just how soon we will get to see our families! We are so blessed to be able to have both our parents coming out at the beginning of December to visit. I am hoping that we can hold out until my actual due date of December 3rd so both our parents will be here to be here for the actual delivery! It will be in the middle of winter so we are thankful to now have Gordie's new truck with 4 wheel drive just in case we go into labor during a snowstorm, heaven forbid! The hospital we plan to deliver at is about 10 minutes away but it does involve going north and closer to the mountain so I'm sure like everything else, our drive to the hospital will be quite an adventure but will all be worth it!
I am signed up to take a baby class on base on September 16th for 4 hours. I'm not exactly sure what they'll be covering but it will probably just be baby basics. We get free baby items so that is a nice perk! We plan to go to 3 classes at the hospital in October to get us more "prepared" so we are looking forward to going to those. They are a childbirth preparation class, a breastfeeding class, and a baby wellness/care class that is taught by a doctor. The childbirth prep class is usually a class that meets once a week for 2 hours over the course of 4 weeks. However, with Gordie working swing shift (3-11PM) he can't miss that much work so we are having to take the 8 hour Saturday class which will feel probably more like a baby cram session than anything. Thank you AF! Regardless, we look forward taking in as much knowledge as we can before he arrives.
Here are some recent pictures of our 2 current babies that we will have to keep from getting jealous when we have our real baby! :)
